Fence work, teaching them to park, teaching them to stand still while being mounted etc. It’s all the same and it all takes time and work to accomplish it in such way that the horse truly understands what you ask and is accepting of it. Most people don’t spend enough time to work on this, because we want to ride. Or they teach it as a trick. I teach it at the end of a session and let them find relaxation in the parking. This takes time, once they find the parking spot I want them to be in, I jus

Park Out -is an easy move to teach and has many beneficial uses. We teach it as a foundation skill, as a beginning position for the Obeisance or Circus Bow. Park Out can be used at the end of a Behavior Chain of other moves, such as a side pass to the mounting block and then a Park Out. Teaching your horse to come over to the mounting block in 3 simple steps This isn’t just a trick — it’s a powerful exercise in communication and trust. Here’s how we teach it: 1️⃣ Start on the ground. Teach your horse to soften to pressure and move its hind end away. Use a light rhythmic tap and your body language (push) to make it clear. 2️⃣ Switch sides, but still ask for the same response. Now you’re standing on the opposite side, still influencing the same hind leg. Reward every little step
